Are you passionate about renewable energy and looking to make a meaningful impact in a growing industry? Fred. Olsen Windcarrier (“FOWIC”) is seeking a dynamic and innovative Chief Commercial Officer (“CCO”) to take the team to the next level.

FOWIC is a leading provider of transport and installation (“T&I) of offshore wind turbine services with a global footprint and more than a decade of operational experience. The company specializes in bottom-fixed T&I, O&M, and floating wind projects.

The CCO will be a key member of the executive team and have the ultimate responsibility for leading the commercial team, developing and driving commercialization strategies, and commercial agreements. Candidates should have strong commercial, strategic, and leadership qualities, the ability to build relationships across a growing industry, and thrive in a highly dynamic environment where both a “hands-on” approach and an architect’s mindset are needed to successfully create and deliver on opportunities.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the company’s commercial function including driving business improvement prioritize sales opportunities, assisting in tendering and negotiation ensuring commercial success
  • Lead the commercialization strategy and activities of the business
  • Cultivate a proactive approach towards market opportunities ensuring the team is equipped with the right tools for strategic decisions including a structured approach to systemize market intelligence
  • Develop, lead, and drive partnerships and collaborations
  • Lead the development and execution of the annual marketing plan, support the marketing manager, and maintain a strong global brand position
  • Have a network of relationships that support the development of the commercial department and strategic support of the business approach. They will be passionate about and committed to the company and its culture


Professional Experience / Qualifications:

  • Ability to demonstrate previous experience and track record for a role of this nature
  • Over 10 years of experience in long sales-cycle projects, with at least 5 years in a management position
  • Has a strong ability to build and maintain relationships across a broad set of international energy companies
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate market developments into commercial strategies
  • Offshore wind experience is desirable
  • Is collaborative in approach both inside and outside of the organization
  • Master of Science degree in Business Administration, Strategy, engineering, or a related field
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills
