The Role

We are seeking a Drilling Manager / Operations Manager onshore for our Semi-sub rig, responsible for leading the planning, execution, and optimization of drilling

operations. This crucial role ensures our operations' safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, with a particular focus on the utilization of Cameron BOP Stacks and Cameron EVO systems.

Key Responsibilities

• The responsibilities of the Drilling / Operation Manager encompass all aspects of rig management and operation, in combination with the demands and requirements characterizing the offshore industry.
• Relieve the CEO of operational duties and routine work and look after daily optimization of various operations in Island Drilling.
• Set goals for performance and growth together with CEO and Business Development Manager.
• Direct the planning and execution of drilling operations on Island Innovator MODU drilling rig, emphasizing the use of Cameron BOP Stacks and Cameron EVO systems for optimal safety and performance.
• Ensure adherence to safety, environmental policies, and regulatory standards.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and performance metrics.
• Support and quality assure our drilling operations in accordance with IDC regulations and customer requirements.
• Support rig management offshore and rig Managers on site internationally.
• Liaise with clients, and subcontractors to ensure cohesive operation.
• Implement new technologies and best practices, particularly those related to Cameron equipment, to boost operational efficiency.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop mitigating strategies.
• Lead, develop, and mentor the drilling team, promoting a culture of safety and excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with a preference for Petroleum Engineering.
• Over 10 years of experience in offshore drilling, including significant exposure to semi submersible operations and advanced drilling equipment like Cameron BOP Stacks and Cameron EVO systems.
• Demonstrated leadership in a management role within offshore drilling operations.
• In-depth knowledge of drilling engineering, well control practices, and operational safety.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Collaborative mindset with a commitment to working with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Flexibility for travel as needed.
